Thailand’s leading hospitality conglomerate Asset World Corp (AWC, backed by TCC Group’s Sirivadhanabhakdi family) has confirmed the relocation of the Blue Ocean Dome—the headline eco-pavilion from Expo 2025 Osaka—to its Asiatique The Riverfront complex in Bangkok, with a scheduled opening in Q3 2026. The group has allocated THB 8 billion (approx. USD 2.3 billion) to upgrade the broader riverside precinct, covering the pavilion’s relocation and the ongoing Asiatique 2.2 expansion.

This move represents a prime example of Expo Legacy Activation—a growing trend across Southeast Asia where world-class event assets are repurposed into permanent tourism infrastructure. It reflects accelerating demand for high-caliber immersive experiences and upgraded supporting tourism infrastructure, as regional developers prioritize projects targeting premium international inbound travelers.

As a premier trade platform for the Southeast Asian amusement and tourism industry, TAAPE (Thailand Amusement Attraction Parks Expo) will continue to spotlight emerging trends in immersive experience development, destination upgrades, and supporting tourism infrastructure. We are committed to connecting global industry players seeking to capture growth opportunities across the fast-expanding ASEAN market.
